Locomotives 5542 and 78019 will be leaving the South Devon imediately after this event,
and it will be your last chance to ride behind and photograph them for some time.
Locomotive No.5542 will be hauling the railway's two ex Great Western coaches
during each day. This will be your opportunity to ride a genuine 'branch line' train
so familiar in the South West region.
The Real Ale Festival
takes place in the newly constructed bar in the goods shed
at Staverton Station and there will be a Pimms Tent in the goods yard
special events area.
Late (evening) Trains Services
In order to increase your enjoyment of the Real Ale Festival why not park in our
large free car park at Buckfastleigh or travel to Totnes by main line train
and then use one of our evening trains to travel to Staverton.
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday
The last train from Staverton for Totnes leaves at 22.15.
The last train for Buckfastleigh leaves at 23.00.
PLEASE NOTE - EVENING TRAINS DO NOT RUN ON TUESDAY 5th
